Welcome to the Choices Ideabook!

Hello teachers!

Every time we wrap up our final issue of the school year, Team Choices immediately goes into self-improvement mode: What problems can we help you solve? How can we expand our resources to better support you as you support your students?

This year, we turned our attention to bridging the gap between our spectacular student edition and our amazing teaching resources, so that you can use Choices to its very fullest. The result is this new forum, which you can consider your one-stop shop for fresh, creative, inspiring ideas that bring our magazine—and your classroom—to life.

Here’s just a small sampling of what you can look forward to this year:

How-Tos for extension activities and projects that use our engaging repros, carefully-curated video library, and more (first up: this guide to holding an in-class debate!)

Tough Topic Guides, which will help you carefully navigate the most sensitive subjects in your classroom, so that you never shy away from a difficult but crucial story (check out our advice for answering your students’ questions about cancer before reading this month's touching Different Like You story)

Genius Teacher Ideas from Choices subscribers (just like you!), who are all using the magazine in the most insanely creative, unbelievably innovative, deeply rewarding ways (we're obsessed with this time-management assignment, which blends basic life skills with key Common Core standards in math!)

We hope you’ll share your own ideas with us—and share these ideas with your fellow teachers as well. We are so honored to be a part of your classroom, and we sincerely hope that this new tool makes your school year easier, healthier, happier, more rewarding, and less stressful!

Warmly,

Kim
